posted May 15, 2020, 3:42 AM by dhakim emak   [ updated May 15, 2020, 3:44 AM ]

Dear Parents

Assalamu Alaikum Wr Wbr

Last Day for HBL and Live Classes is 16th/17th May

The term is coming to an end and the final online lesson will be held this weekend.

Alhamdulillah, as of last week, all our classes except Kids 1 and Kids 2 have been conducted online.

Insha Allah we will be bringing the Kids1 & Kids 2 classes online this weekend on a piloting basis.

Madrasah Holidays

Madrasah will be closed for the holidays after this week till 28th June 2020.

Classes will resume on 4th / 5th July,  as scheduled in our Academic Calendar and as advised by MUIS.

We will advise on any changes due to the COVID-19 situation on the website.

Online Payment for EMAK fees

We are pleased to announce that our fee payment will be going online in the next few weeks.

Not only can you pay fees, you can also get a statement on your child's fees status.

We will keep you updated on the details once it is ready.

Parents who wish to pay online will need to create an account on the Masjid's payment system.

In order to simplify the process, we could pre-create the account for you if you fill up the following online form by 22nd May. You will receive an email once the system is ready in a few weeks.

Click here to pre-create your online payment account.

Eid Mubarak from all of us at EMAK!

Thank You

HBL and Live Classes Continue, Fee Waiver Amendment, Project Revive

posted May 1, 2020, 3:15 AM by dhakim emak   [ updated May 1, 2020, 3:17 AM ]

Dear Parents

Assalamu Alaikum Wr Wbr

HBL and Live Classes will continue till 16th/17th May

Although the month of May has been declared as school holiday, MUIS has decided to continue HBL Classes and Live Classes as planned for the term till 16th/17th May.

We are pleased to inform you that we are now doing live teaching online for all Tweens, Teens and Youth aLIVE Classes. We have started in phases starting with Teens and Youth three weeks ago, with Tweens starting last week and this week. With this we now have 20 classes on live teaching with Google Meet.

Due to security reasons our Madrasah has decided to use Google Meet for live teaching instead of Zoom.

Due to the difficulty of managing Kids aLIVE classes online, we will only have Home Based Learning (HBL) at the moment. We may do a pilot live teaching for Kids 3 and Kids 4 classes soon. Teachers will keep you updated.

Fee Waiver update

In an earlier post, we have said that 50% will be waived for March and April Fees. Instead of waiving 50% March and April fees, the mosque has decided to waive the full month of May fees in order to make administration easier (It is the same in terms of amount i.e. one month fees).

Project Revive

In view of the COVID-19 situation, we do expect parents to experience difficulty paying fees and we plan to top up the EMAK Trust fund during this Ramadan.

Project Revive is an initiative by EMAK (Al-Khair English Madrasah) to encourage the recitation of the Quran and the act of Sadaqah.  Donations will be directed to the EMAK Trust Fund which serves to assist our students who may need financial assistance.

For further details you can contact:

Sis Asma (Sponsors) at asma.munavara.emak@gmail.com

Sis Yusrina (Reciters) at yusrinajaikubali@gmail.com

With this initiative, InSyaAllah, you can also encourage your family and friends to recite the Quran and donate for a worthy cause.

May Allah s.w.t. be pleased with your generosity!

Thank You

Online Learning, Fee Waiver & My Ramadan Kit

posted Apr 10, 2020, 3:14 AM by dhakim emak   [ updated Apr 10, 2020, 3:19 AM ]

Dear Parents

Assalamu Alaikum Wr Wbr

As the Madrasah continues to be closed, we are bringing the classes online, Insya Allah.

As this situation is new and unprecedented, we are trying our best to keep the students engaged as much as possible.

It may not be as effective as face to face class but we have to do with the best at the moment.

As you may be aware from the press, there are security issues using Online Conferencing Software Zoom.

We are piloting other platforms for the Teens 3 & 4  and Youth aLIVE students for the time being and if successful we will extend to other classes progressively.

Thank you for being patient with us.

Online Learning

Do take note that your child’s class teachers will forward the link to you via Whatsapp broadcast message on Saturday.

Kids aLIVE 1 to Teens aLIVE 2 will be e-learning with parents, with teachers checking in from time to time,

while Teens 3 to Youth 2 will be short lessons conducted via video conferencing from this week onwards.

Teachers will confirm the timing of sessions with their respective classes.

There will be Quizzes at the end of the lessons. It is compulsory to complete the Quizzes from Term 2 Week 1 lessons on wards.

We appreciate your support and await your child's participation.

Submissions of the quizzes will be recorded in the termly progress report. (Do click in ‘Al-Khair English Madrasah’ when submitting, as there are 2 Madrasahs in Al-Khair).

Teachers will be checking in with your child from time to time by phone call and/or whatsapp.

Fee Waiver

We are pleased to inform you that MUIS has announced a 50% fee waiver for the month of March and April for aLIVE classes.

Please find the attached letter and FAQ on the matter. (There are 2 attachments on this matter below)

Alternatively, you wish you may opt out of the aLIVE fee waiver and donate the waiver  to the mosque.

As the Mosque is now closed, you could pay any outstanding fees when the mosque reopens.

My Ramadan Kit

We are pleased to share that My Ramadan Kit will continue to bring joy and motivation for our children during the blessed fasting month this year.

This Ramadan Kit will be available for Kids 1- Tweens 2 students (5-10 years old).

Students of aLIVE Mosque Madrasah can pre-order their kit through this link: https://tinyurl.com/MadrasahRamadanKit2020.

My Ramadan Kit will be posted to your residence.

We thank you for the dedicated support and assistance in ensuring aLIVE can continue to provide Islamic education for our children in this challenging period.

Let’s make do’a to Allah swt that we can persevere, stand united and come out stronger.

Announcements

Please do take note that we only make announcements when necessary and not every week.
