Continuation Forms Submission
1) Whom do I submit the continuation form? You must submit only at the EMAK Counter together with January fees for next year. If you submit to anywhere on anyone else and we do not receive the continuation form, it will not be considered as having submitted. 2) What is the confirmation that I have submitted continuation form? If you have submitted the confirmation form, you will get the Receipt for January Fees. This is the confirmation that you have submitted the continuation form. The the name of the issuer on the receipt must be someone from EMAK fees counter. 3) Can EMAK fees counter refuse to accept the continuation form? Yes, we will not accept the continuation form if :
4) Do I have to submit continuation form if I am under Financial Assistance? Yes, you still have to. 5) Do I have to submit continuation form if my child is not continuing next year? Yes, that way we will consider your child as discontinued and if your child re-applies in the future, your child can still join under Phase 3C. If you don’t submit, it will be considered it as Termination automatically and your child will not be allowed to join EMAK again. |
Do I need to pay for June fees when Madrasah was Holiday?
Do I need to pay for June fees when Madrasah was Holiday? Yes, you need to pay Jun Fees, Please note that we collect fees for 10 months - January to October. Although there are classes in November, we do not collect fees for November. Furthermore, although June is Holiday, there are years in which there are classes in June. Please note that all other Mosque Madrasahs collect fees for 12 months except EMAK which collects only for 10 months. Even Schools and School Bus operators collect fees even during School Holidays. Besides whatever is excess from the Madrasah goes to the mosque, in the way of Allah (SWT). |

What is the Madrasah's Policy on Withdrawals, Discontinuation and Termination
Withdrawals and Discontinuation Please note that, withdrawals will take effect only from the following month after the withdrawals are submitted. (i.e. 1 months notice). Existing students who withdraw will only be considered in Phase 3 of Admissions (i.e. for February intake) if they choose to return. As such, parents are requested to re-consider before withdrawing because normally there are very few places (if any) available in Phase 3. Please also note that re-registration fees will be $50 instead of the usual $20. Discontinuation will be treated the same way as withdrawals. Termination However, if the Madrasah terminates a student due to absenteeism (3 consecutive weeks without Leave Application), the student may not be allowed to rejoin. It is thus best to withdraw early, if you decide to stop your child from coming to EMAK, than to get your child terminated. A note on Discontinuation for PSLE
Therefore, Parents are strongly discouraged from withdrawing/discontinuing their children from EMAK if they intend to enroll the child back. |

Material Fees for children in the same class
Question : If I have 2 children in the same / class standard, can I pay material fees for one student and share the work books? No. Material fees also covers other expenses incurred per student like stationery used during the class, field trips etc. We take cost per student per year to be inclusive of the Material fees. Secondly, even in National Schools , one has to buy two sets of workbooks in the same situation. Lastly, any excess funds goes to help the mosque and the Madrasah. So we hope parents take pay material fees per student. |
Do I need to pre-register my child who is already in the Madrasah to enrol him for the following year?
No. Pre- registration is only for students who want to to join the Madrasah for the first time. However, existing students need to submit continuation forms issued in July by 15th August if they wish to continue for the following year. |
